How did the jetta run with the tune? I also hope skoda are as lax then as VW with not finding the tunes

I reckon they'll find that almost impossible to do. The VW machine can't do an update unless there's one available and it goes off the ECU part number and software coding.
There's often multiple software codings floating around for each ECU. For example, I have seen 3 for the MK5 125kw diesel.
