Octavia RS replacement grille

Hi All, just joined the forum after signing on to buy an RS this week. I love the car- except for the chrome grille. Was wondering if any of you fine people have replaced yours, if so from where? I've checked out Super Skoda (and some of the threads here about their hit and miss service), but is there anyone who imports them to Australia?

I've bought a couple times from super skoda with no problems!! I think if they have it in stock or are patient u will have no problems . I got my orders in 7-10 days.

I also am not a fan of the chrome grill and initially I painted mine with plasti dip with the thought that if it came out crap or got damaged I could peel it off. I have a black car so it's not hard to get a closeish match colour wise

I ended up stacking the car though, stuffed the grill but the bonus was that insurance covered getting it painted at the body shop and it looks brilliant

I recon they would look great either:

- colour coded to match the cars paintwork
- brushed silver to match the roof rails
- black (either gloss or matte)

Thanks guys, my car is black so I reckon getting the entire piece (rather than just the insert) is the go! And yeah- online shopping you gotta be patient, especially if they're Czech! On a side note, their responses to comments on various products on their site are pretty hilarious.

Yep, it was me...I wasnt very happy with them then...I have since purchased again (under a different name..my cat actually). I received it ok. I really wanted the grille, so I just ended up taking the risk and buying.

Funny thing though...Even though the order came from my "cat", when they shipped it, it had my name on it!!!! They were smart enough to work it out!!

Is there anywhere else beside super skoda, or milotec, to get grilles? That hole for the bonnet lever is a bit crap.

I reckon it looked fantastic... Although, here's mine with a matte black grille.


They both look good, but I would easily go back to the gloss... Maybe one day.

I hadn't noticed the tinted / wrapped headlights before - what have you done there?

Its just "Nightshade" tinting spray.
Its all in the prep - I didn't do a very good job of it... Please don't look too closely.

One of these days I'm going to clean it all off and use a tinting film as it *should* give a better coating, and less colour change in the headlight beams.
The tint has also faded a whole lot since then.

EDIT: Also my P-Plate appears to have sagged significantly...
