No worries, the whistle is back!
I had a small air leak in the inlet which obviously is pressurised
An o-ring was pinched and letting pressure escape, this is why the whistle disappeared
The engine is now pulling very hard again (makes my day) and whistle's easily
As yet I have not rev’ed out to redline to see if it whistles all the way to red line - I expect it will
(Due to speed, not something you want to do in rush hour traffic,
I also need clean road for good traction to prevent traction control spoiling the fun)

Or to help out mid 80's corollas when they go off track and bush bashing????

I remember years ago Rolls Royce were challenged, why do you provide such a comprehensive high quality tool kit (it was like 140 pieces, Sydchrome quality too) if your cars are so reliable? Rolls Royce responded with "to assist other less fortunate motorists who have broken down"
