Loving the new lights. Been out last night and tonight and they're brilliant. And perhaps my review of the boot lights above was a little harsh. They are better than the stock yellow lights.

You I did this too. Didn't do the 7 winds thing tho, but took about an hour to get it back together, and pulled the entire glove box out.

The secret to swapping the glove box is to pull it out from the inside, but pop the cover off from the edge closest to the back of the glove box. If you look at the plastic diffuser cover, you can see where the indentation to prize off is, how the %&*# you get a screw driver in there is beyond me, even a little stubby flat will be difficult, or really strong finger nails might do it. Lucky a LED should last 15000 hours.

I pulled the light out to see what bulb was required. Have since done full led change over, EXCEPT glove box.

What Octavia do you have? My front reading lights are the same as the back. 2 x vertical on the sides, and a horizontal in the middle.

Wow, you pulled the whole glove box out to replace the light!!! That's impressive. I have a Mk 2 RS Occy. My front reading lights are installed horizontally whilst my back reading lights are installed vertically, if that makes sense.

So my rear light assembly looks like the pics on this page

Interior Light bulb upgrade - Skoda Octavia I - BRISKODA.net - The Skoda Forum and Community

But my fronts have the LEDs pointing forward/horizontally with the outer shroud behind the globe being curved to try and reflect some of the light downwards. It wasn't an issue with the old globes as they lit up 360 deg, but the LEDs supplied from LEDPERF point forward, instead of down.

removing the glovebox is a 2 min job.
I did it many times - 1st time while retrofitting the Bluetooth module; 2nd time when installing the footwell lights.

Pulled the glove box out to get the bulb housing back together and back in when it was in bits......

My front lights housing is the same as the rear, so you need leds like in the pic here. Bulbs like the bottom left of the picture.

This is where I got my kit from for the RS.

Have a good look in the front light housing as see if there is another slot for the bulbs behind the shroud?
Some A4's had the front light housing set for different bulb configurations, you may have something similar?

                    Honest opinion.

                    Yes replace and enjoy.
Not as bright as the A3 kit I got. A3 has slight blue tinge but ridiculously bright. You can see everything inside the car from 20m away.
Boot not as bright as the pics on superskoda, but better than stock.
Check you puddle light fittings and message them to ensure they send the right ones.

The interior dome lights are white, not bluish tinge and much brighter than stock. All bulbs are plug and play. No errors, or stuffing with resistors as I had to in the A3. (exact same bulb holder and bulb as RS)

Yes good practical light, white, not too bright.

                    Why I buy again? Yes.

                      thanks for that.

I don't have puddle lights, but I do have footwell lights, front & rear - so i'll have to change these too.
the footwell lights do use the same bulb and housing as the boot lights, so it shouldn't b an issue.
