              What colour is your 118?

Also - What do the old wheels look like?
I may be in the market for something smaller than the 18's... Tyres cost too much.
Hey Matt, I might be after a "replacement" standard wheel if mine cant be fixed.....(if you are going to sell them....)

If I can find something that matches, then sure I'd be happy to sell mine.

do you happen to have a photo from front-on of your wheels / fenders? Just wondering how much poke you're getting.

was looking at 17x8 et39 which the online offset calculators claim they poke out the same as 8.5 wide et45 (assuming i did the calculations properly in the first place).

Sorry I'm hopeless with putting pics up. I'll try to get some up here. There really flush with the guards but with the 215/35 on it doesn't scrub. It looks pretty tuff from the front!

That's correct, however you need to focus on the inner side first and foremost
The inner position is what give the steering feel and feedback and tire scrub
8" with ET39 moves the wheel 6mm away from the strut - probably not a big deal

On the outside - I would expect you to be just outside the guard
8" with Et39 will be 6mm wider than mine which are only just level with the edge of the guard

Damn, it was hoping it would just be flush with the edge. 6mm would be noticeable visually

cbay my 18x9 et45's poke out by about that much ... it's not noticable in a negative way. 20-30mm would be, but not 6

                              my 18x8.5 et45 audi wheels don't poke

Hmmm I'm concerned that having car at stock height the tyre tread would help make it look like the wheels poke even more.

Sorry to hijack OP's thread. My situation is completely opposite of scrubbing. Will make a new thread when I figure out the wheels
