Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yes, my auto lights have been stuck on sometimes in both the Tiguan and the RS if I came out of a dark place first... they havent turned off again, and I see the reflection in the bumper of someone in front at the lights.

If I turn the switch on and off quickly manually, they then reset.

      +1.
also, coming on & going off speed is adjustable.

        Really? Mine was a quarter-turn.
The two side spokes of the steering wheel had to be vertical before the fogs would come on.

I doubt there's a difference between factory cornering fogs (dealer enabled) and VCDS enabled, so after sale.
        Mine is VCDS

If my hand is on the wheel at 12 o'clock the cornering lights are on by the time I get to 1.30 to the right and 10.30 to the left. It;s probably 11 and 1 when they come on (tested with the car facing a glass window at night).

My cornering fogs behave the same as kiwi's.
            Mine is "self vcds" coded.
It's governed purely by steering wheel angle, provided low beams r active & below 40.

VCDS enabled. Comes on at 11.00 & 1.00.

Mysticality - could it be something to do with your Body Control Module woes? Your vehicle seems quite different to the rest of us

Example - I reverse out of my garage (dark) and into the daylight (bright) and the lights stay on. They then stay on for a further 5-10km until I park the car, turn the engine off and then restart it. Probably a bug - only happens once in a blue moon.
It has NEVER been stuck OFF... Which is always a good thing.
Happens to me too on the Superb but I noticed that it only happens at dusk when driving from a dark place - parking station. Maybe it has something to do with the low lying sun striking the rear view mirror sensor too?

                    Quite possibly!
I'm yet to get THIS BCM coded, so I'll find out then. XD

Nope - not standard. Tis a $150 option. All the dealer does is activate the function.

If u have vcds, u can activate it urself & spend the 150 on something else
