Most of the suvs I looked at had more space on paper, but the Octavia boot had more usable space for me, flat and space is more horizontal than vertical, if that means sense?
Totally agree!
I sold my 2010 Tiguan and purchased the Octavia RS wagon for space...more than double usable space than the Tig SUV
2018 Ralyee Green RS wagon. Fully optioned.
Previous vehicles:2015 Volvo V60 Polestar (my one detour from VW/Skoda!)
2013 Platin grey RS wagon / 2012 White Polo GTI / 2009 Black 125 Tiguan
Haha same! Ironic considering I doubt many people in Chile (where the guy on Briskoda - probably the only Skoda owner there - found it) even know what a Skoda is.
There are 25 dealerships listed on the Skoda Chile website. did you bother to think or was that just another shoot from the lip comment?
the more i c this new octavia, the more i see vw......jetta specifically
skoda used to have their own design language....now its clear big brother is having more say on how to shape/style the cars!!!
in a few years time, no one will be able to tell the different between an octavia, a jetta, a passat, a golf, a polo, a fabia, an a4.........
one will have to read the badge & model name carefully....."ah, its an octavia! thought it was the jetta!"
MY17 Superb 162TSI, Business Grey, Tech+Comfort Pack, APR ECU+TCU Stg 1, SLA, Rieger Splitter + Side Skirts, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, Hardrace Swaybar, TPMS

I like the front, but not the weird shaped Grille and the button nose, it's like they tried to be different and came up with weird. The rest looks ok though.

Current Octavia hatch looks like an old Passat sedan in profile. Whenever I'm looking for wheels on tirerack, I just choose the Passat - it's pretty close.
Anybody noticed that the grille is no longer attached to the hood? Another Skoda design cue out the window.
carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums

Wow, 25 dealerships, they must sell millions, almost as many as Skoda Australia (sarcasm intended). I was relaying information from my brother, who is currently in Brazil after going from Chile. I even asked the Briskoda user 'RURU2010' (who posted the latest Octavia III pictures) about Skoda Chile's situation. His response: "Skoda has been selling cars in Chile for many years now, but they don't make muck effort to do it so you won't find many at the time." sounds like the Australian situation. Do you have to scrutinise everything Richard?
