Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    New colour for Octavia RS??

    I know this will divide opinions, but I personally love the Ralley Green colour as found on the Fabia RS...

    So, I was pleasantly suprised to see that on carsales there is an OCTAVIA RS in that colour!!

    It was a sedan, but I would love one in a wagon...

    Any ideas if this is a new colour for 2012, or was this just a one-off perhaps??

    (Any dealers out there reading this...please PM me if you can get a wagon in the Ralley Green...please....
    sunroof, no leather, xenons...)

    Reminds me of my old "Hothouse Green" Commodore! That was the hero colour for the VY Commodore. It would be interesting to compare the colours up close.

      ^ my brother works at Skoda. I'll ask him if he can get this colour for you.

      EDIT: I'll send you a PM re this. The colour is newly available and has taken over from Anthracite Grey which was discontinued. There are no wagons currently available, only a liftback.

        as Lucas_R already mentioned, it's a new color introduced this year.
        along with black neptunes, carbon-fibre look trims, and black alcantra seats with red stiching.

          hey guys you will all love this!
          I emailed skoda via their website to ask more info re the new colour and interior.

          after a few days I got a call from a guy at Volkswagen (skoda) who said..." in reply to your email, I am not able to confirm that colour as being available. Are you sure it was ralyee green on an octavia?"
          I replyed yes...and referred him to the one on carsales...to which he said "it must have been a private import"...

          I reminded him that as the head office of skoda, and the person replying to an enquiry, he should be aware of things as basic as colour choices etc...

          amazing hey!?

            no surprises there - vw at its best when it comes to owning "everything skoda in oz"!!

              Geeze those guys are useless, its never improved despite years of complaints. I'm still wondering when they might get the initiative to send feedback forms after sales and services like pretty much every other company does. I really wonder whether they are scared to?

                We got a couple of feedback things, in the form of a card with details for an online survey.
                I swear it was from Skoda Aus., but it was all about the dealer experience... Which was excellent, and has still been excellent.

                  i got a similar thing too from skoda, specifically around the dealer service. i did the online survey.

                  the following week, i got a letter from skoda saying they've been trying to contact me with regards to my experience with the servicing!

                  wtf?!?!? i don't understand that logic.
