    Fantastic figures!!!
That's really good! Assuming sales figure are similar for other manufacturer with the recent months, this should make Skoda into top 20, exceeding sales of some of the well established brand like Volvo, Lexus and Peugeot! Would be nice to know how it ranks though.

Anyway, been seeing Skodas a lot more frequently on the road now. But I must admit, 99% of them are still Octavias. Occasional Superb. haven't seen Yeti or Fabias on the road yet....(that is in Brisbane south)

    • If I recall correctly that figure put them in 20th position. Well ahead of Peugeot 440ish, Renault 410ish and Volvo 400ish.

      A very solid performance.

      Any feedback from the naysayers?

            • 654 skodas sold last month giving an annual total of 3501. In my view a terrific end to the year and a great overall result.

                • Was driving through the CBD on Sunday, saw a basic-level Fabia, a white Superb sedan, a blue vRS wagon and a blue vRS sedan.
Here's me in MY blue vRS sedan going "OMG MOAR vRS's" and pointing frantically, the girlfriend in the passengers seat just rolling her eyes.

                      • Back to earth with a mighty thud. 151 sold last month. Perhaps the future is not as bright as one thought.

                        • I reckon last month was a quiet one all round, they are also being cheap not offering onroads and just the 5 yr warranty...most makes offer both for runouts.

There should not be any more waiting times though. Europe is getting into deep recession and sales of new cars plummeted by around 20% in several key markets.

                            • There are still discrepancies in the figures.
According to the recent interview with Matthew Wiesner Skoda sales were 3500 in 2011 (291 average per month) and are "on course to double again in 2012" which means an average of 583 per month.
I think there is a large amount of positive spin in anything that comes from Skoda Australia. Maybe they have the same "no bad news" attitude as the Hastie Group.

They are dreaming. The doubling of sales first few months of the year is only continuation of a trend from last year. This was due to introduction of new cars to the market (Yeti and Fabia). Thats not gonna happen this year. For example they sold 600+ cars one month last tear (June or July I think) due to dealers' orders on Yeti and Fabia. They will not double that. They are doubling numbers this year so far but due to low numbers in 2011, which were still sales without Yeti and Fabia.
