Hhmmm, I've got a Bluefin tune on my RS TDi and I and luv it. Had it for 2 years now - maybe as mine is a pre FL it can be done???

Goes as quick as a stock XR6 Falcon (6 speed auto) & faster than a Commodore 6 cyl. The midrange punch is really strong and passing on the highway is awesome.

My brother inlaw has a current 335kw GT Falcon and says my car gives 80% of the go of his car but I use half the fuel.

    Go get it and enjoy

      Great feedback guys.

Sub $1000 would be great and returning to stock would be a necessity.

Seems the APR is a bit pricier but is integrated to the cruise control stalk.

My car is a 2010 model so notsure if it has the anti flash ECU mentioned above but I do like the sound of having a controller also.

Food for thought but clearly need to do more research

APR Stage 1 came at a sale price for Xmas with options thrown in. It can be easily returned to standard program yourself and then locked out with a PIN code so the servicing dealer can't tell it's there. The valet mode is useful when leaving the car with tyre dealers etc - it accelerates like an automatic Datsun Sunny, so deters apprentices thrashing it, and the anti-theft mode gives a little bit of peace of mind if you have to leave it somewhere unattended for any length of time. APR will also reflash for free in the event that the dealer reflashes the ECU and wipes out the tune.

Huh, I thought the Bluefin was only good for 1 ECU, did you have to have it reset by the factory to down load the tune again.

Just fyi, just about every tune reseller in the country will happily return to stock, and usually for free. If dealers reflash a car, tune resellers will always reflash for free - I think if they were to charge anyone for this, it would really be code for "we don't like you and don't want you to come here anymore"

I spent $100 and bought the 1yr APR return-to-stock option last year before I realised the first point.

Correct. The previous owner had it reset before I purchased it.
Not sure on the cost to do that, but I don't think it's huge, maybe around $200ish?
