Sydney/Canberra VCDS cable

Hey, all!!

I picked up my Octavia RS TDI wagon on the 23rd and have been reading on various forums that you can enable certain things via a VCDS cable/software package thingo...
Cornering fog lamps and LED parkers/interiors would be great.

Is there anyone in Sydney/Canberra area that is willing to loan me the system to do so? Or help me out?
Fully compensated, of course.
I live in Bowral, NSW, if that helps any. XD

Alternatively, I could always spring for the cost of the cable/software and offer the service to other people... Just putting the feelers out to see if there's anyone already doing that.

I'm not an expert by any stretch, but if you have already looked up what you need done and know what modules to turn on/off you're welcome.

here is some VCDS coding i did myself, that u too might wanna have....

Cornering Foglights
Control Module > [09] Central elec / Coding / Long coding helper / byte14 / bit 5, Check the box.
Exit
Do it


DRL dim on indicator
"Daytime Running Lights (DRL's) inactive with Turn Signals active"

Control Module > [09] Central elec / Coding / Long coding helper / byte 15 / bit 3, tick the box.
Exit
Do it


Coming/Leaving Home Lights via foglights
Control Module > [09] Central elec / Coding / Long coding helper / byte 17/ bit 3, tick the box.
Exit
Do it

wat did u end up coding?

I ended up getting the cornering fog lights and DRL dim on indicator.

We played around with fog lamp DRL and dual rear fog lights but ultimately left them standard. We couldn't find the switch for dual rear fogs.
I was considering coming/leaving home with the fogs but I like them on the headlamp instead. Although, when I get HID's its gonna be interesting... The fade effect is awesome but it doesn't play well with the ballasts. >.<"
I'm thinking that maybe enabling "Xenon headlamps" in the VCDS will turn the fade off.
At least, I'm hoping. XD

Until then, when I finally GET my HID low beams (HID is amazing in high) I'll have to turn off coming/leaving home.
