If it's a TSI then they all (TDI / TSI) use the same filter.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Your engine is a TSI - its says so on the engine cover if you pop the bonnet. Your air filter is a rectangular shape.
The TFSI is the older engine used in the pre face lift Octavias (as well as Mk5 Golf GTI's etc) and its air filter is also rectangular, but one corner is cut off on an angle.

Cheers guys .. noted about the cut corner TFSI filter (which was pre FL).
It's so much easier to just pull out the air filter and look at the part number on it just hard to do when I am sitting in the office and it's dark and cold once I get home fr work.
This m6k looks about right .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSAi039F7hU
