    Thanks for your explanation. However, I don't know how you make your swaybars, probably not CNC driven as most swaybar makers, as fitting problems are still going on, even on your TUV approved products.

    "Alexhighline", on the German Octavia forum even has pictures of how a Whiteline swaybar touches the control arm when the suspension is fully extended (post 114)

    Fahrwerkskomponenten von WHITELINE: Antilift-Kit 'WALK' , Stabis und PU-Lager - Seite 4 - Fahrwerke - OCTAVIA-RS.COM Community

    I spoke to a friend of mine in England a few weeks ago who had exactly the same problem with a Whiteline swaybar on his Golf Tdi.

    I think that most of your products will be fine, but it seems your quality control is not as good as some other makers.

      Hi,

      Not sure where you got the idea that sway bars are made even by other companies with a cnc machine as they are all made from hollow or solid steel so why would you need a cnc machine except maybe for the ends.

      Also the waste from all the cutting on a cnc machine would mean the price of the sway bars would be at least double what our price is now due to material costs and time to manufacture.

      Our bars are made in a Jig and if they are incorrect will not fit in the jig when checked by QC.

      Some of the issues you maybe reffering to may be wrong applications and maybe if these people contact us at support@whiteline.com.au we could help them with the issue rather than discuss on a forum when in the end no user can give a replacement item to correct it.

      We see you may not be happy with our product and is as shame as we would like to change your thoughts but we are all entitlle to our opinion.
      We are here as we were alerted to this thread to help the person who posted here and in the end we will let them make a decision based on the information we can provide.

      We are doing our best to offer an affordable product for the average person to improve there driving experience and at this stage worldwide we are succeeding in doing this with great customer service and very easy going warranty .

      We have now put head offices in the U.S and the U.K and extended dealers to places all over the world and had TUV approval for Germany/Poland so we will continue to go and try and improve in any way we can as we grow even bigger than we are.

        Hi Whiteline, thank you for your reply. By CNC, I mean a Computer Numerical Controlled machine that bends the spring steel wire that sway bars are made from. From your reply, it sounds like the Whiteline sway bars are bent by hand in a cheap labor country making accurate repeatability in manufacturing difficult. My own experience with 2 Whiteline sway bars supports that.

        Some other manufacturers use fully automated CNC machines to bend swaybars like it shows in this Youtube video at 8:21 minutes in. This type of manufacturing would guarantee repeated accuracy.

        It is very clear from forums that your product support is excellent and your presence here supports that. However, could you confirm where the Whiteline products are actually made?

          Hi ,

          We use a machine to bend them of course I mean we sell thousands of sway bars worldwide and could not have that many hand bent !

          Our machine is computer orientated but not called a CNC machine but works similar to what you see in that video.The one in the video is also not a full CNC machine as it still needs to be manually adjusted therough the bending process and is roughly the same way do it.
          A full CNC machine is totally Automated and is automatic from start to finish controlled by a computer.

          They are then placed in a jig to make sure they came off the machine ok as even a machine can slip and make a bend slightly out of range so they are checked as part of our QC.

          We understand you have not been happy with one of our products but as I do all email enquiries for Whiteline it looks to me like you have not contacted us about your sway bars or we would have replaced them or solved any issue you had.

          Rather than us just keep posting back and forth about you not being happy with our bars we will leave any other replies from now and stay on the topic to help the original poster here who was absolutely happy enough with our product to post his happiness on here.

            Sorry Whiteline, I didn't mean to harrass and I do appreciate the answers. I didn't mean to hi-jack the thread and get carried away. I'll keep an open mind about Whiteline products.

              I've (and many of my mates) have used Whiteline products on our Subarus (did group buys). Front & rear swaybars, alloy drop links, strut braces, etc. I think they were a good enthusiasts product at a reasonable price. Sure there might have been better stuff available but it was significantly more expensive. Also, they were often one of the only suppliers of a product and in the early days, would do some one-off / custom work. So, good on them that they have managed to expand to overseas markets.

              I think if I was living in Europe, I'd probably look at some of the local product as well - just for comparison.

                Whiteline made in North Korea!

                Well, I have had a pretty bad experience with Whiteline in the past as well, but that aside. Seeing the question about where Whiteline is made is not answered correctly, made me look a bit further.

                I was reading this:

                Newbie Japanese - RaceDotCom.com with SuspensionParts.info

                Which referred to this post in the UK:

                Handling Issue - ScoobyNet

                I didn’t know Whiteline was made in North Korea, so I thought I’d do some digging. We all know that Whiteline is part of Redranger, the people behind Nolathane. That is where the info stops. But Google is a useful tool 

                Whiteline/Nolathane is actually being made by Uniworld in Korea.

                ::UNIWORLD AUTO TECH CORP.::

                ::UNIWORLD AUTO TECH CORP.::

                On the face of it, it looks like a large Korean company. But looking a bit further, their swaybars and bushings are actually made in Gaesung, Hwanghae-do.
                ::UNIWORLD AUTO TECH CORP.::
                That is the Korean name. In English we call it Kaesong, North Hwanghae. When using Google maps, this place actually shows a country where I really do not want to buy product from.

                When Googling ‘redranger uniworld’, the first entry is interesting. It seems to even have a Redranger Uniworld presentation in it…….

                Anyway, Redranger, Whiteline or Nolathane is not a company I will be buying products from, not only because of quality concerns.
