If you switch of ignition & remove keys then turn on radio/cd, how long does that go for? It should be a similar amount of time.
I use the 30 minute feature to charge my phone/GPS.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic
I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums

I use the 30 minute feature to charge my phone/GPS.
When the key is removed, the interior lights come on, and remain on for 10 seconds (set by the combi-display settings). If the door is opened under these circumstances, then the lights come on and remain on for 10 seconds after the door is closed or when the alarm/central locking is activated.
Everything else is off, except the cigarette lighter.
Not necessarily a biggie as I have installed a multi-outlet accessory socket unit and it is a relative simple matter to remove its plug from the lighter socket.
I will raise it with the dealer when it goes in for its first courtesy check.
Thanks anyway.

Hello all,
Thanks for your suggestions. I tried the accessories plug, the indicators, the fog lamps, and looking for any lights on in the car at night...
Annoyingly I can't find any of these things but the warning bell is still there. Its really faint, and seems to be intermittent. I did get a recording of it on my phone last night to play the dealer as they did not hear it.
It only occurs after the car has been sitting for some time. I will hear it when I first open the car, in the morning , but I won't hear it for subsequent trips during the day.
Any suggestions on what I should ask the dealer to check/look for would be appreciated.

An update...
The battery went flat again. So flat that the doors would not open with the remote, and they needed to manually override the gear change to put it into neutral.
It's been towed to the dealer, so fingers crossed this time they can work out what the issue is.
My wife is seriously po'd as this is our only car and last week the dealer said there was no problem.

I can't get the transmission out of Park until I have depressed the foot brake.
I can't get the key out of the ignition until the transmission is in Neutral or Park.
I can't put the transmission into Park until I have my foot on the brake because it has to travel through Reverse, even though I have the hand brake on.
Needless to say, when things go wrong with the power supply, you are all locked in or out.
You may have to resort to a portable battery pack, but even here you still need to be able to get the bonnet up so that you can connect it to the main battery. A partner of a cousin of mine has an XY GT Falcon that he only uses on special occasions. Because of this the battery has a tendency to run flat, so he has a portable battery pack so that he can jump start it. That battery is on permanent trickle charge. I asked why he did not trickle charge the main battery, to which he replied that it was a show car and so the trickle charger would not go down well if it was permanently installed in the car, and that it was "easier" to have the portable battery.

I got my car back after being in the dealers after ten days. It took a very long time to identify the problem. At one point they thought they had found the problem, but after swapping out what they thought was a faulty module the problem was still there and they had to keep looking.
The problem was finally identified to be an acc control panel that would turn itself on and draw a significant load.
I have to say I am glad it is under warranty.
