Thanks for all the replies. I must have held the button down for a moment without realising. Haven't managed to read through all the owners manual as yet.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

It also works for closing them including the sunroof.. I have seen a You Tube clip with all the windows and sunroof closing when the car is locked. So I suppose its only logical that it would work the other way I suppose.
Another feature I can't wait to try out!

I think a read of the Owners Manual for Skoda, will make for good reading. Looks like there will be plenty of interruptions just too try of all the features that come with car. I was hoping with the Sunroof with the solar cells there wouldn't be too many days of having a car full of hot air lol. Always handy to have a plan B!

Damo this problem has been reported frequently with VWs. All windows opening mysteriously. Some of the time its accidentally caused by the owner pressing or otherwise activating the keyfob eg while bending down in tight pants. Other times its been said to be a bug in the system.help! i keep finding all my windows openMY2014 Skoda Octavia Ambition Plus Wagon, DSG, Capuccino, Tech Pack

My boss has a VW Eos and I noticed when I was in her car, the windows automatically open an inch whenever she unlocks it. It was poring rain at the time and I suggested she may want to disable that particular function! Not sure if it is related.2015 MY16 Brilliant Silver Octavia vRS Wagon TDI DSG with Tech Pack, 19" black pack, pano roof and auto tailgate

Think it's any new Euro car with frameless doors. My friend's BMW 135 does that too. (Apparently, can't be turned off easily)

Hi all,
I've re-opened this old thread based on the original comments (ie, time spent waiting for an ordered car). We ordered a Scout manual with a sunroof back in November 2011 and at the time was advised that it would be about 3 months for delivery. Reading through this post, however, it seems that most of you have ended up waiting much longer than that (rather optimistic) time frame.
In the real world (as opposed to salesman world) how long in general have people had to wait for their ordered car? It seems that the average is more like 5 months not the 3 months that sales staff seem to be quoting. At this stage, I have no idea if the new car has even rolled off the factory and if that's the case, then we've still got at least 2 months ahead of us!
Also, how have you found out what build week your car was being made on? The only detail I've received from the dealer is an order confirmation number that doesn't really tell me anything. I have tried the website www.trackmyskoda.uk with zero success, but I think that it might only work for UK ordered models.
Thanks guys

The dealer should be able to give you a printout of when your order was entered as well as a planned production week along with your order number. It will give you the details of your car options too.
FYI, I ordered my VRS back in Nov 2009, the order was entered in week 51 of 2009, and the planned production week was week 5 of 2010. It did hit that production week and I picked up my car at the end of May (2 weeks after it landed in Australia)
They had a "little holiday" in Jan when the factory shutdown for a few weeks...
Once it was built, my dealer gave me the VIN as well as which ship it was on and when it would land. (But you can find that out yourself once you have the VIN)
In short, the dealer has the details and you just need to push them for it. Mine sent me a pdf with all the details. So, if your car was ordered in Nov, and there's no backlog, the earliest is March, but quite likely May if it has not been built yet.

i waited 5 months for mine.
- ordered 15 jun 2010
- aug 2010 advised of proposed build week (in my case wk35)
- end aug 2010 advised confirmed build week (wk 35 - no change)
- car built wk35 2010 (sep 5th). 3 months after ordering.
- car loaded on ship mid sep 2010.
- car offloaded in sydney wk 1 nov 2010.
- car in my hands 16th nov. 5 months after ordering.
essentially, after ordering , i had no idea where my order was upto till i got notified by my dealer in aug of the proposed build week. The 'confirmed/production' build week is only confirmed 2 weeks prior to the actual build date. doesn't matter wat the order, or model.
they stock the production/assembly floors with the "next 2 weeks orders". if they don't have a particular component, the order waits till the component is available, after which its "confirmed" and moved to production build prepartion (stock).
i didn't get the VIN till the car was built.....obviously. once i had that.....it was all quiet again till the car was scanned into the belly of the ship. from then on, you can track the ships voyage with the help of the VIN number.MY17 Superb 162TSI, Business Grey, Tech+Comfort Pack, APR ECU+TCU Stg 1, SLA, Rieger Splitter + Side Skirts, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, Hardrace Swaybar, TPMS

The only way I can think of that you will get the car in about 3 months is if you ordered 1 that the dealer had already pre-ordered with the same specs as yours, otherwise, add a couple of months to the 3 months....
Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, or if you need to wait 5 months, glad to be the bearer of good news... (Although I think it would be the former)
