    Me too, and I'd say theres a 99% chance we're looking at camera vs LED flash de-sycnh.
    99% because my wife says I'm occasionaly wrong.

    One likely reason for different "rates" on different cars is it VERY likely the flasher unit is not high precision on actual frequency (why would you, unnessisary manufacture cost) and the some other factors that effect electronic like this including ambient temperature, camera in use and variations in the manufactured Light module.
    Other proof theres variation, one of the posters here found his left hand unit was different from his right hand unit.

      Anyway, why would a factory supplied road test car have illegal strobing lights?
