Wow - comprehensive! It's one of the things most car makers are bad at doing. They have these lovely glossy websites, but the images are too brochury. Sometimes people just want to look at details.

I just took "The Czech" (ok, I'm a nerd and named the VRS) for a spin at lunch.... Good fun! Although I just filled it up and got 9.9 litres per hundred (too much launch control this month ).

YELLOW ??????? Each to their own ,but it makes me cringe everytime I see a Yellow car. My first car was a Yellow LJ Torana, maybe thats what done it to me.

I probably should have spent more time taking photos of mine when it was new.

call me old fashioned, but where are the lock pins/buttons on the door?
i can't seem to find them on either the front or rear doors!

i do realise u can set the car to 'auto-lock' once u start driving off n get up to a certain speed.
but wat if u wanted to manually unlock/lock the door - how would 1 do that?

Don't know about the lock, but double pull for the unlock

No wheel bolt caps, or center arm rest either on the yellow VRS? Hmm...

But it looks like they got an umbrella... LOL

                1) Don't setup the auto lock feature & the doors will remain unlocked.
                2) Press the lock/unlock button on the centre console
                3) double pull the door handle to unlock that individual door
                4) remove key from ignition (if set up in MFD)

                  ah.....thanks for the explanation fellas.
"double pull to unlock" - will explain that to potential panicing passengers!
                  hehehehe

i believe its just the version they get over there.
u'll also notice it doesn't have the dual zone climate control a/c

Also noticed the headlight adjustment missing and the chrome badges on the front door speakers don't look familiar to me either...

Adding onto dArK5HaD0w's comment, yeah that's the RS they get in Malaysia. It's like Mahindra here, they're carried by a special importer (not even VW Malaysia). The price? Equivalent to A$62k! I regularly browse that website as I like to find out what's happening in the Malaysian car world . I also noticed that the Bolero radio in the Superb they had there looks a little different to the Bolero featured here.

And Mark, well those speakers are part of the 12-speaker set-up. That appears to be the only high-end feature on the car ... for $62k!!! It also says that's the cheapest way into the 2.0TSI motor ... imagine a GTI price!

cars that come with factory fitted xenon lights do not have the manual headlight adjustment.
this car has xenon lights, hence why u don't c it.

Check out the price of the RS in Singapore and you might faint

The 2.0TSI motors don't like Malaysia and Singapore that much. Way too hot...

Just did and just did. The equivalent of $105k for my $41k on-road RS liftback. Far out; poor buggers!

Ahh thanks for the clarification. So is that like an arbritary exclusion like steering wheel controls/6sp man or does the xenon option have a self-levelling facility?
