Just bought a MY2010 Scout. Doesn't appear to have Hill Hold though specs seem to say it should. Should I have HHC or not? Does it have to be 'turned on'?

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Some Scouts do but it looks like the specs were changed halfway through a model year which I think is kind of weird. Anyway looks like I missed out.!MY2014 Skoda Octavia Ambition Plus Wagon, DSG, Capuccino, Tech Pack

That's something that is starting to really annoy me with Skoda. These constant unannounced changes to specs often after people order but before delivery. The removal of the folding mirrors and lock nuts on the wheels were other examples of this. If I had ordered the car with hill hold I would be extremely pissed off if it arrived without it and nobody had bothered to tell me.

Things like folding mirrors or locking wheel nuts disappearing are minor annoyances to most people but to me Hill Hold is something that may be on a persons must have list of features when they are making a purchase decision. If I had purchased a vehicle with that as one of the factors in buying and the vehicle was delivered without it I'd be more than pissed off, probably to the point of either refusing to take delivery or wanting a full refund on the basis that the vehicle was not delivered as ordered.

Just wish they would keep the same stuff during one MY and not make random changes. Def not good customer relations. Never heard of mid MY changes ever before for any other manufacturer.MY2014 Skoda Octavia Ambition Plus Wagon, DSG, Capuccino, Tech Pack

I received a MY11 vRS Combi with DSG a couple of weeks ago. I have noticed on inclines, that after taking my foot off the brake, that the car goes nowhere until I accelerate. After experiencing this a couple of times, next time I waited after coming off the brakes to see how long it would hold, and it is for a few seconds. I am assumung this is Hill Hold, even though I was told at least twice by different dealers that my car would not have it.Redline3345 MY11 Octavia vRS Wagon TSI DSG | Brilliant Silver | Milltek cat back exhaust | Bilstein PSS10 | TSR Panorama | Remsa | Leather | Sunroof | Towbar | Front Sensors | Boot Protector | Xenons | Corner Fogs | Alarm | Extended Warranty | Superskoda Bits & Bling

my dsg my11 rs seems to have hill hold too - i.e when i'm on a hill, it'll hold its position while my right legs makes its journey from the brake to the acceleratorMY17 Superb 162TSI, Business Grey, Tech+Comfort Pack, APR ECU+TCU Stg 1, SLA, Rieger Splitter + Side Skirts, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, Hardrace Swaybar, TPMS

The hill hold must just be available with the DSG? Definitly doesn't do it in the manual lol. My mate had a Liberty manual and it had hill hold! It's not something that bothers me, but would be cool to have.
Disappointed that they don't have electric folding mirrors though!MY10 Occy vRS \\ GIAC Flash Tune \\ 19" VMR v713 \\ It's a Skoda. Honest.

My MY11 rs TSI manual has it......and i find it good sometimes and annoying others. Like if you want to take off quick theres a delay with it letting the brakes go....which makes it groan a little. Cant be good for it.2014 Skoda Ambition Plus 103TSI candy white wagon, 6sp Manual, Tech pack, Panoramic Sunroof, 18's, Colour Maxidot, Comfort BT
