I used to work at Wheels Rockdale. The owner learnt everything he knew from Matthews Tyres at Campsie including putting an oval sticker on the rear windscreen. Cars with those stickers were everywhere! We weren't allowed to let a car leave without applying a sticker. Our customers knew this & would take great delight in driving out of the workshop onto the driveway, get out of their car & rip the sticker off, scrunch it up & throw it at the owner Cranky Crawley.

wow, I never knew people were so passionate about such a small thing as a logo on a number plate surround, I mean it saved my $40 having to replace the crappy ones SJ Skoda put on it originally, although I have been looking at the chrome surrounds on the Superskoda website, they look trick
Maybe i shouldn't have posted anything about THE GOOD SERVICE I got from the Newcastle dealership and kept my mouth shut. I appreciated what they did & have done, so thought it was worth commenting.

As far as advertising the brand, I'm currently story boarding an Ad to shoot later this year with my Octavia RS as a concept ad and i will be pitching it to Skoda - and charging accordingly if they like the concept. Even the unfinished general clip I did on YouTube has around 13,000 hits, which is twice what the Skoda Aust RS-P clips have received - go figure.

Off my soap box, I'm going for a drive.................

I have just had my RS serviced by the guys here in Newcastle, and if the service i got was anything to go buy, they will do very well!!
It's the little things as well as attention to detail that really have an impact......
        - Free courtesy car (another Skoda Octavia wagon)
        - replaced the number plate surrounds ( previous steve Jarvin ones with the Nissan part blacked out - very 2nd hand in my opinion ) with some very nice looking Newcastle Skoda ones - free of charge
        - washed & detailed the RS
        - Fault found the tow bar problem - ECU not programmed and a blown fuse - SJ told me it was a Control Unit issue ( I'm still yet to connect the trailer up to confirm all is good ) but the guys at Newcastle did mention it might not be the correct control unit fitted as the only way to get the lights to work without tripping a globe caution light was using the North American code, but I have to check it on my trailer, as they were only using a load box to test with.
And then of course the guys did a good job on the service, and phoned me as soon as it was ready to pick up.
If anyone in Newcastle or surrounding areas needs their Skoda serviced, then chat to Ashley at the Audi/Skoda service centre, you wont be disappointed!!
Thats good to hear as i will need a reliable service agent for mine.
Will probably do the Majors at the supppliers and the minors locally, and before anyone comments about the rationale on this it is nice to provides some income to my supplier (excellent service upto now) and it is a good excuse for a trip to Sydney and a visit with family at the same time.
