Inside the fuel flap of my wife's RS it just says 95min, no mention of 98 at all (built Feb 0. By contrast my GTI (built Feb 07) says 98 with 95 in brackets. Not that I've ever put 95 in either of them.

That's what I did, and 18 months later it hasn't missed a beat.

Weird, mine definitely says 98 and when I was researching them in the early days Briskoda said 98, wonder why we have some that are different and are their different tunes?

My rs build date march 2008 , says 98/95 , have run it on 95 on the odd occasion when prices were in the heavens , no effect , slight less power thats all .

Back on topic. Bluefin doesnt work on windows 7 64 bit.
Plug in to car to load factory ecu map is super simple.
Couldnt get it to upload on w7 pc.
Lucky we have a laptop running xp. Left it uploading to superchips while I took the dog for a walk and email advising ready to download when I got back. not bad time wise. Just need to load it back on the car in the morning then go for a run up to Lake Mountain to run it in
Had one too many cold ones tonight.

You are a week late. I was up that way shooting bikes last Sunday.

BTW: I did 8 minutes from Gerratys back to the main road junction at midnight on 31 January (last full moon) so there is a target from you to see if a vRS is faster than a bike.

Great shots, are any of them you? I took it easy because as we have both discovered it rains when you go for a drive in a new car. Also had the poor dog rolling around in the back.

                    Going to resurrect this one...

                    Thinking about getting a bluefin.

Can anyone with a TSI vRS comment on fuel consumption after bluefin?

+0.5L/100km on my 1.8. Worth it for the torque alone. Bigger fuel consumption hit with heavier wheels/tyres

Best deal is JKM Motorsports/Performance (whatever they are called)

Has anyone got a bluefin on a post April 2010 VRS? There's a warning on the website about newer skoda's having encryption that stops the new program being loaded.

We get into the high 6l/100km on the trip back from Bendigo, not sure what it was before the reflash. I found Superchips very helpful via e-mail.

I've got a vRS TDi DSG running Bluefin and around town the fuel economy is about the same prior to putting the Bluefin on - average 6.8 to 7l/100km. Haven't had a chance to take it for a highway run and compare but guessing it'll be similar 5.5 to 6l/100km.

Performance is great with the Bluefin though, the midrange grunt is huge. Didn't have a problem with the software loading.

                            Cheers

Drop Superchips/Bluefin an email. I found them very good to deal with. They don't care who you buy the product from, as long as you buy it.

If there is still some uncertainty, then local purchase might be better as they will take it back if it doesn't work.

There's another handheld that my mate bought for his SAAB. BSR - Car tuning, Chip tuning, Diesel performance, Ethanol conversion kit worth looking at.
