Hi all,
I am looking to sell my Octavia RS. The car is not running, as earlier this year it suffered a terminal engine failure. I suspect the timing gear guide or chains failed causing the engine to jump/skip time and one or more valves have struck a piston.
The car has been looked at by two mechanics who advised that a top end rebuild or a replacement engine is needed to get back on the road. The car was our second car and it has already been replaced. We are not in a position to go ahead with a repair and i am selling the car as is.
The car was manufactured in 2014 and is MY 15. It has the Tech and Black pack from factory and Auto Fidelity installed an OEM reversing camera.
The car is in excellent condition (engine excluded) and has done 146,000 kms. The car was not modified in anyway and was regularly serviced. Of course the engine failed two years out of warranty so here we are.
Interior is 10/10
exterior is 9/10 - some minor stone chips to front bar and lower bonnet
Wheels and Tyres - 9/10
DSG - excellent condition - serviced at 100k by COX automotive Melbourne.
The car was well maintained and driven well, we are just bloody unlucky for the thing to let go.
Car comes with both keys and owners manual / books.
I do not have time to wreck the car so i am selling it whole, Asking price is $ 6,000. Car is located in Yarrawonga Vic 3730.
