Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Octavia vrs 2015

Hey guys, just needed some advice. I have a skoda octavia 2.0 l petrol 2015 vrs.

I live in Brisbane but ive been in the market to upgrade. I thought about getting a flash tune from apr. Eurotune on the gold coast offered to tune it for $1040 direct port with a hub dyno.

Tarmac engineering offered a full dyno before and after and there flash tune. For $1195

Harding performance offered there oem racingline tune which i thought was pretty good aswell i wouldnt mind getting it

What do you guys reccommend what should i do? I heard revo is good but i cant find them.

Euro car upgrades have there own tune and live engineer for $1395

+1 Tarmac engineering /Bayside Performance, member on here has over 220kw at the wheels with Full bolt on's.
Tarmac engineering should be full custom to your car, not an off the shelf world tune. ie you'll get a bit more for you money.

Or there is a DIY option, Burger Motorsport JB1 or JB4.

I currently have JB4 and its great for the slow mod list before going a real tune. Bayside did my Clutch and once I've installed a Bigger intercooler, Ill get getting a Custom Tune from Tarmac engineering /Bayside Performance. They do a Lot of VWs so lots of knowledge out there.

Another good place to ask this would be SkodaModderz

Definitely recommend BPS Cleveland (Tarmac Engineering). Very happy with their attitude and performance outcome when they tuned mine

suggest you ask on AUSkoda facebook page. a couple of tuners there - better value than what u have quoted.
