the soundaktor in sport mode will completely overpower the resonator but will be more audible if you run individual and set it to eco.

I run 0% via OBD Eleven now and its much better.

I've been using the individual mode with everything set to sport except for sound. I'm hoping to get a little more real sound out of it, especially on down changes and overrun.

Remember to allow the resonator to settle, the tone will get deeper overtime.

Also, depending on how the setup on the exhaust pipe on the facelifted RS, it's worth getting a flange done for interchangeability purpose.

Mine was one solid pipe from resonator to back exhausts, had to cut some section of the pipe and flanges put in. I have seen a diagram for newer RS car where the exhaust system consisted of few different part joint by sleeve connector, no flange needed if this is the case, just weld some pipe to match the length of the OEM.

Turbo Yoda, is now just over a week old. I had the entire car Coated with Always Dry self healing Ceramic Coating, it looks sensational, really happy, also had the interior and glass done, the best is the wheels, Euro cars always suffer from huge amounts of brake dust, this coating doesn't let it attach to the wheels, it just falls off when your driving...amazing.

I also had the Vibrant Resonator fitted first thing Saturday morning. There's not a big difference in sound, but it should get a bit deeper as it beds in.

What does the stock Pipe look like?
Triangle or was it a cylinder.
The old RS220/RS162 has a Triangle, where as my RS230 (with diff) has a short cylinder.
I get Farts (Manual car) all the time if I roll off the throttle at a certain rate, helps when your running more boost too

Yea ok, so the Triangle, same set up at the RS162, thus no sound.
You'll love this set up mate.

It's very subtle so far, my wife couldn't tell the difference...which she was happy about.
Ironically, I have only driven it home after the install. Was at GABS on Saturday...so had a bit of a lazy day yesterday.

It'll go on it's first long drive this weekend, we're going on a camping trip to Hill End over the long weekend. I can't wait to stretch it's legs.

Yep, install was top notch, took about 1.5hrs.

It was done at Fast fit at Leichhardt on Parramatta Road.

Was the resonator recommended by other owners or specifically for VAG cars?

It seems like there are a lot of RS owners doing this exact mod. which is why I went with it.

I'm hoping it gets a bit louder with time, it's maybe a little too subtle for my taste.

Sport mode just uses the interior Soundakator which makes it sound like a 'fully-sick' WRX on the inside.

I'll see how this goes, I may end up with a full cat back in the end, I wouldn't mind a switchable one if possible, so I can make it quite on long drives with the 'fam' and then open it up when I having a drive by myself.
