RS 169 or 245 any opinions?

Thanx Tigger!...SNAP! I really like the green, it's quite unique and probably wouldn't have it on any other car, just seems to be the halo colour for the RS. It also comes with some 'yummy' green plates VRS169. not sure whether I'll keep them, as I have some personalised plates that I'd like to keep hold of.

pittster - Sounds like what I'd like to do as well, just make it feel and sound a little sportier while cruising. What is the Golf GTE intake mod? Also, did you buy your resonator online and have it installed or just go to an exhaust shop to get it done? Any OBDeleven tweets that a really worth doing?

We've sold the Jetta to my nephew, who is about to turn 16, my sister is buying for him as a first car, it'll be a bit sad to see it go, it's been such a great car.

As per link its in german i think but half way down there is a link to a intake mod that uses the Golf Hybrid I got the part off Ebay for $25.

I haven't got my OBD eleven yet but Items I plan to enable are:

High Beam Assist, Fan speed indicator, Recirc memory, Mirrorlink & Vehicle in motion, Traffic Sign detection, Boot alarm off, heated seat memory, Soundaktor off or lower %

Many thanks Ozsko, I was about to email a broker when I started to get emails and calls. I've noticed a couple of them dropped their prices today.

So I've got the Vibrant SS resonator ordered and on it's way, I'll place my SuperSkoda order tomorrow (i've left my password at work).

I really like the Rieger diffuser, it makes the rear match the front better, being more aggressive:

I can’t even really hear on my stock 169.

At least you were getting something with the stock exhaust note.

Picked and purchased!!!!

Just did a good deal on a Rallye Green RS169, fully optioned. They're sending through the paper work now!! The car is coming from Orange NSW, price was delivered to me, so pretty happy.
I'm I disappointed that I didn't get the 245?? There is a little bit of remorse, but it was $3K more and had a couple of thousand kms on it. The money I saved will go into a Superskoda order and the resonator mod, I may do PPF as well, our last car copped a lot of little scratched and scraps from my grotty kids, So may look at doing the front, bonnet and doors.

With a little luck, may have it by the weekend!!!

Well that's how it sounds if were sitting on the back bumper, from inside the car its really quite no overrun and you can just hear the DSG crackle.

If you want what I would call a normal amount of sound from an aftermarket exhaust its not enough to ditch the centre muffler the rear's would have to go aswell.

I now have the soundaktor at 0% in the car and its stupid quite, I can hear the turbo more than the exhaust most of the time.

if you want to hear the exhaust from in the car more than the centre res needs to be changed IMO.

Also I think the DSG or Engine tune is different in the 169 its hard to get the DSG crackle all the time sometimes it doesn't do it under full throttle.

I'm trying to avoid any heavy exhaust mods as it's the wifey's daily and don't want it to be all that loud.

I'd be happy with a nice note to hear the gear change fart or crackle every so often in stock standard form in sports mode.

Sounds like it can only be heard on the outside and from close range.

Your res delete does give it a nice tone
