Gear change question

Hi Karoq Owners,

Have a 2019 Karoq and always wondered why the gear change from 1st to 2nd happens in a few seconds, it's almost unnoticeable but can be annoying when wanting to do quick acceleration.
Has anyone else noticed this? I'm sure there's a reason and perhaps one of the quirks of DSG.

Sounds normal Idea is to get up in the gears to reduce fuel consumption. Stick your foot down harder or use manual mode
