My 2013 Fabia vRS

Traded in my 2011 Fabia Monte Carlo for a 2013 Fabia vRS today. Got a really rare colour combo as it was a custom order someone pulled out of. So Far its great. Made sure that it wasn't the CAVE 1.4 Twincharged engine as in earlier versions of Fabia and Polo GTI that are renowned for excessive oil consumption and my 2013 is running the new CTHE version which is meant to have all issues sorted. Took it for a good hard drive to run it in (about 200kms) varying throttle and RPM.

Only Mod so far is K&N pod Filter and HID kit. Pod filter makes the supercharger and turbocharger loud which I'm not that big a fan of but it feels more free revving through the rev range. HID kit is great as I drive a lot at night and standard orange halogens are garbage.

KW V1 suspension arrived today from Larkspeed.com and will be installed this week at CVWC Tuggeranong. I have more mods planned. I'm not completely sold on the white roof so i'm thinking a carbon fibre vinyl wrap would be nice, and maybe partial bonnet and side mirrors also. I have 18x8 V20 rims from my Monte Carlo which I might put on from time to time, but i kind of like the white wheels even if there are slightly habibish.

I like the white wheels, though I can't quite convince myself to do them on my white car. Maybe you could do something with the chrome grille surround. Maybe white or black?

I did the mods on the day i bought it, coil overs going in today. It funny you said the black grill cause i have actually ordered a black grill and updated badges from superskoda.com so the should be here any day now. looking forward to having some fun with it

Much more to come soon. TMC tuning kit Carbon Fibre roof and side mirrors wrapped and looking at modifying seats inside as I find the seated position is too high even when adjusted all the way down. Anyone know who could do the seats or where to look, advice would be appreciated..Cheers Adam

I guess I like the fabia for a few reasons. Better value for money, I like the styling, and I have a great relationship with the dealer here. I would have to say the main reason however is that they are less common on the road. How could I go wrong, $26k drive away with metallic paint, tint, matts, mdi interface, premium bluetooth, parking sensors. The polo gti equivalent would be $35k

I'm gonna spend that 10k customising it
