    i like vRS better!

Hey, just saw the brochure online on Skoda Au website.

The front fog lights are actually LED's!! Just like the Volvo's! DRL. So what you reckon if the police pull you over for having 'fog' lights on? How you your rest your case? ha!!!

Had a spin in a Fabia RS hatch today(Pennant hills Skoda), great engine,7 speed DSG doesn't feel as smooth as the 6 speed DSG in Occy RS, the ride was firm but comfortable over potholes. Sitting position is abit high, overall a very very fun car to throw around with, there was this I30 tailgating me and try to over take me over a take off. floored the paddle and , Bye Bye I30. Really rewarding car to drive.

But I reckon 34k for the wagon is a bit too much. Will prefer to pay a few thousands more for Octavia RS lift back.

Noticed quite a few VRS on Carsales.
Looks ok in Red or silver.

Can't say I am a fan of the anthracite wheels (below)

My brother has sold several already, including the one in the photo below which is exactly the same spec as the one that is used to advertise the Fabia vRS.

Shame that the black headlights (available on the MonteCarlo edition) are not on the vRS - as it would look much better.

I agree and especially because the 'black pack' is standard equipment in the UK. Makes it look meaner IMO.

The black pack means all you have is the projector lights for low and high beam... The VRS owners on the UK Briskoda forum complain non-stop about the piss poor black pack lights.

What we get is the optional curve following projector upgrade AND the supplemental highbeam reflector. A much better combo.

I just used the german skoda configurator and specced a vRS to our specs... when converted to our currency its $27600.

Can anyone think of any car in the same sort of category as the Fabia RS wagon? I don't think there are any competitors. Lots of small hot hatches, but no wagons. Super city sporty/utilitarian car (I'm not so keen on any of the RS versions in the country because they're a bit to rough on dodgy roads).

Yep...less than 30K on road standard.
Ours is 2 months old now... brilliant bang for your buck even though Motor reckons it is only number 2 behind the Polo GTi
Definately a vRS according to badging but marketed as an RS. lol

Just ordered a vRS wagon (on lease) for about $29k with sunroof. Platin grey, anthracite blk wheels. Looks good and will drive well. Not so used to the 3-4 month delivery time though....
A good replacement for the other Swedish car

Since the Polo GTI is so scarce (the two advertised on Carsales in suburban Perth apparently aren't "in stock", but that's another story...), I've turned my attention to the Skoda vRS. I'm concerned about the oil use issue surrounding the 1.4 twin charger motor these cars share. Can anyone enlighten me about their experiences with the Skoda vRS currently in stock around the nation?

Not sure exact kms atm, but when I checked the oil first AFTER a couple of weeks it seemed low although I was partly on uneven ground. Got the dealer to check and it needed 700ml which seemed a lot but was still above minimum. Has been checked several times since (@ least 2000kms) and all is good. No use at all since the initial 1000ks roughly. Car is mostly taken on short trips where oil just gets to temperature but is never driven hard cold.
On the weekends it is used spiritedly but only after 90degree oil temps and a full temp gauge or about 25kms.

Wouldn't worry personally and remember the Polo GTI is exactly the same...

Mine was checked at around 450km and needed a little top up...I have now done 1250+/- and it seems OK. Great little car so far.
