Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yeah, I wanted the large Euro plate at the front, and it was 1 way to get it on there

Now spotting more and more Skoda, predominantly Octavias around the lower north shore and a blue wagon at Macquarie Park almost everyday...

Me. I was on my way to my brothers in Wonga Park and had decided to use Lysterfield Rd/Dorset Rd as a change from Eastlink. Lysterfield Rd is more fun!

                • dark blue diesel FL Octavia wagon at junction of Creek and Ann Street, Brisbane this morning. Interestingly it has a Queensland Government sticker on the door so maybe Skoda is not only selling to Europcar but starting to make inroads into other fleet markets.

                  • THere are two black Skoda wagons hanging around Swinburne unis new building on Burwood Rd, Hawthorn. One is a pre FL RS that I used to see parked near the site office, the other looked like a FL diesel. Both are now parked up and down the road...funny how people see Architects as common buyers of cars like Skoda and I suspect both cars do belong to owners doing that kind of role.

                    • I was being followed in FTG Road at lunch time by an Anthracite FL VRS wagon. Obviously as the hatch was in front that's conclusive proof that hatches are faster.

                        • If you read the specs the hatch is faster, it's called extra weight in the wagon.
