Skoda spotted thread

Spotted a Mato Brown Roomster last night at the Concordia German Club in Tempe (NSW). Looked damn good in that brown BTW. I didn't even have that colour on our shortlist, but i'd have picked it had I seen one in the flesh.

The local supermarket was like a VAG car park today. My Superb wagon, 2 others (diesels), a Fabia, Yeti and 2 Octavia wagons. Add the Golfs, Passats, Audis (including a nice RS6) plus the Bentley. Only one missing was a Lambo.

Found this cool Fabia on a Facebook page today. Thought you guys might like it. Im not sure if its a Monte Carlo edition or a vRS?

Parked up at my fav coffee shop and alongside came a silver Fabia vRS Combi with silver wheels & a sunroof. Made a good pair!

Found this cool Fabia on a Facebook page today. Thought you guys might like it. Im not sure if its a Monte Carlo edition or a vRS?

Depending on the amount of modification, it's most likely an RS. The Monte Carlo has more body moulding (could have been removed), and the headlight surrounds are black rather than chrome (and far more people would be changing to the black than chrome). But the DRLs are the biggest give-away.

My spotting was three (!) in the space of ten seconds. A silver Superb turning a corner, just before a silver Octavia wagon went straight through the same intersection, followed by a maroon Octavia wagon going across the intersection from a different direction.

Not really spotted, but I checked out the new octy today at the Brighton dealer. Can't believe the size of the sunroof both in width and length. All the way from the rear headrests to the front edge of the front seats.

Also had a customer come in to our bike shop with a specialized mtb on his white octy rs. I saw him going down north rd before he walked in. He said he loved the car

^ good point on the body mouldings and black headlights on the Monte Edition - i had forgotten about that. As you said, it's most likely a vRS then. Shame they didn't offer the black grille and black headlights (and possibly even the body mouldings colour coded) on the vRS as they look good.

I say the same re vRS models of both Octavia AND Fabia with blacked out headlamps..... My Polo GTI has blacked out lights and so do the R and GTI Golfs... Make them look better but the Octavia has clear headlamps... Not that sexy

Drove past a great looking Octy vRS today in Newcastle. Blue lift back, facelift model, lowered with the stock rims painted gloss white. Dark tinted windows. Really tidy and all polished up. Best looking Skoda I've seen to date.
