G-8VXWWTRHPN Getting Bitza back on the road - VWWatercooled Australia

Announcement

Collapse

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Can you fit Cupra suspension and brakes into a Ibiza?

                Yes, straight swap.

Front end is all Golf MK3 suspension, rear is Polo if you ever need parts.

                Cheers

                Paul

Ok if you swap the brakes from a Cupra you also need to upgrade to 15" wheels. Not all 15" wheels clear the 280mm Cupra brakes.

Yesss suspension is a straight swap.

Thanks was expecting to go to at least 15" wheels Do you happen to know what offset standard 98 Cupra wheels are

Where on the Sunny Coast are you? I have a complete set front and rear brakes off a Cupra.

The rotors are nearly new. I'm pretty sure the pads are almost new too. They were only on the car for a short time before the car was in an accident and written off. The front calipers have been painted red and are a bit dirty but would clean up fine. They have been off the car for a few years but should be good. If I recall I tool them off complete with the carrier etc. I can check them and mms you photos on Saturday. The rears are in pretty good condition and they are complete with hub, abs ring etc. If you are keen for a short drive you could view them all in Nambour on Saturday. Not sure what they are worth but I have no need for them now. If you are keen PM me a phone number and we can arrange a time.
