    Parts for 1.4 1995 SEAT IBIZA CLX

    Hi again all,

    still asking, if anyone has any tips:
    are the parts for the 1995 SEAT IBIZA CLX
    1.4 (yes it's the $500 budget) interchangeable with
    any VW's (for instance the clutch).
    Are they really hard to get?
    What would a clutch cost for instance?
    And what about the timing belt?
    Does it
    have a belt or a chain? Is it an interference
    engine and how often should they be changed
    and at what approx cost?
    If anyone knows I appreciate your time.

    not sure, but someone will jump on and correct me
    just put in a compl long mtr with clutch 1,8L Cordy
    say from Loon for $350 problemo with belt sorted for xtra $100 too

    belt is say $60 plus labor so $120 every 100thou kms
    clutch city maybe 135thou
    country hwy 165 thou kms (my Cordy did 195,ooo on orig clutch hwy mainly under 25 yr old drvr!!)
    german - english translations esp vw documents!!

    Dismantling 95 Seat Cord'a and 73 campers and 74 dc van !!! Some Mk1 and t2 ant3 gear in my stash,,,

      Parts for your 1.4 is same as Golf3 with an ABD engine mate, engine is a scrambler if the belt goes so yeah interference. also timing belt is adjusted by the water pujmp on that engine, so you will need a new water pump and seal when you do the job. .
