  • Audi A4 B6 Quattro 1.8t MY04.5

    Hi all,

New to the forum but long time lurker. I am considering looking at an A4 B6 Quattro 1.8t MY04.5 and would love to know if there is anything I should look out for. I have heard about oil sludge, is there a way to check, and maybe coil packs, but is there anything else. The car I might be looking at is pretty low km, under 80k, and at first glance looks well looked after.

    Thanks in advance.

Make sure timing belt has been done, as well as cam chain and tensioner. Timing belt is every 4 years or kms. Coil packs can go at any time, but if one has gone on the car, make sure all were changed. If all were changed, then sweet. Check if air con blows cold both sides (otherwise needs a re-gas). Check all power windows on all switches. I had a window motor go at about 90k. Dipstick should be ready to disintegrate so see if has already been replaced.
