Did you get the 1.4 Twin charger model!? Those things are beasty once chipped. They can easily outperform stock golf GTI's.
You should contact dna tuning if you didn't get the twin charger and look into an ecu remap. They unlock about 50nm more torque ! Which is awesome on a little car.
Lovely colour. Will be fun keeping that looking clean and swirl free - but your hard work will pay off every time the sun shines on it.
Mazda had a similar colour available on the Mazda 6 and Mazda 2 a few years ago. Looked pretty much black until the sun got it and you could see a purple/grape colour.
I'm kind fussy about keeping cars clean so there will be minimal swirls, the dealer thought I was mad when I told them not to detail the car before they deliverd it
The tune isn't a massive change power-wise, like it was in my old polo gti which totally transformed the car - but it does make the A1 a lot more drivable around town with the extra 45nm or so of torque across most of the rev range. Overtaking is also much easier in 6th gear without having to change down to 5th.
In summary, I think it was worth it but just don't expect the car to be pushing you right back in the seat afterwards
'06 Polo GTi - Candy White / Custom Leather / Looking for Dish!!!
My A1 is a DSG so chaging down is not a problem it goes from 6th to 4th faster than I could, although it is obsessed with trying to get into 7th asap to save fuel.

No need to pay $1,200.....in fact, i believe APR dont actually have a tune for the 1.4T 90TSI. In this case, take a look at DNA Tuning. They offer a 20kw/50nm upgrade for your engine.
