Apart from the concept drawings in blue the other pics seem to be only the US Version. Hopefully they release euro related info soon. I was hoping for more golf 7 like drl.

Also the tails look halogen like.

The GLI and Hybrid will be the only models with rear LEDs.

Well the article did say "global debut". The spec level might be different between countries but they will likely "look" the same.

It's looking more like the Passat btw.

Also, VW Australia have taken the Highline (GLI equivalent) model from their website.

I hope they offer it with the Queensland wheels, I think they are the best looking ones. The interior also looks like it may be a bit more upmarket. The US love the Jetta so it is always specced really for them first I think.

              Cheers

Hopefully it comes with new engines as well or I for 1 will have no interest.

1.4 TSI (not twincharge!) and 1.8TSI would be nice thank you, especially if a manual is an option and the auto is tiptronic not DSG .....

Quite likely they'll ditch the twincharger, but no indication they are moving away from DSG.

The only way I'll reconsider VW is if it's not fitted with the DSG7.

Is it the same as Audi A3 sedan?

I think they'll be keeping the twin charger.

As the EA888 engines come online in Mexico I think VW will phase out the 118TSI in the Beetle and Jetta in favour of either the EA888 1.8T or EA211 four cylinders from the Golf 7 range.

No, the Audi A3 sedan is based on the new MQB modular transverse matrix (same as Golf 7) while the Jetta is loosely related to the Golf / Jetta Mk5(6).

Oh well, if that is the case, disappointing, my original thinking they will use the MQB on Jetta...

They will use MQB but not for 2-3 years, Mexico is only now just phasing in MQB production with the Golf 7 for North America.
