Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Bluetooth module location on MY15

    Hey all,

I recently swapped out my RCD310 with a RCD330 but I need to remove/disconnect the stock Bluetooth module in my Jetta as the RCD330 has its own and it causing an issue with the phone button on my steering wheel.

anyone know where the Bluetooth module is on 2015 Jetta... i've looked online and they say its under the seat but its not there on mine.

    thanks.

Could be behind the head unit if it was retrofitted, or you might have one of the combined BT/MDI modules (5N0 035 729 A) that will either be the centre console, or glovebox.

thanks, I'll check there.... but i think you're right about the glovebox because i have a usb port inside there... now I'll have to figure out how to remove the glovebox.

The MDI comes out forwards using radio removal keys you will see little slots in the bottom corners.
