Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC My Jetta is mostly duct tape.

    Hi everyone!

I'm 22, relatively new to cars, Volkswagen and driving in general (I'm only on my P's ).

I purchased an unloved 2006 MKV Jetta 2.0FSI as my first car a little over twelve months ago.

30,000km's, two rolls of duct tape and several check engine lights later, I find myself lurking this site almost daily. These forums have been such a tremendous resource for all sorts of information. To think I very nearly filled my engine with mower oil all those months ago.

I've decided it's finally time to repair my sagging interior and fix my busted front bumper among many (many, many, many) other things. Hopefully I can share some of this (presumably arduous) process here, and learn a thing or two along the way.

    Catch you in the forums!
