I say that because my current Mini Cooper S is red and Honda CBR954 fireblade bike are both red. If it's meant to go fast it's meant to be red. My next Ferrari will be red also!
I had a bit to do with Lima who is on these forums when we lived down in Goulburn. He and his lovely partner were a great help to my wife and I when we were waiting five months for our Mini to arrive. Well now we're in for another four to six month wait for the GTI. It doesn't worry us as we really still love our Mini and we will 'wean' ourselves off it over the next few months.
I was going to to buy a 118TSi but, well, I drove the GTI didn't I?
Anyhow, I'll look forward to lots of reading while the wait goes on...

Back with VW
Just bought a MK3 1996 Golf GL (manual) as a second car. Although it needs some TLC, it only has 72,500km on the clock and that was uncommon among the cars I shortlisted. Overall it's in good condition, including the interior - complete with stock Eurovox cassette player. It's somewhat of a return to the VW fold for me after buying a 1970 Beetle 1500 over 20 years ago.
Although a good buy (I think), there are a few issues to sort out but that's part of the adventure. I'll post about them elsewhere on the forum as I need some guidance.
Next week, VW Repairers on Whiting Street Artarmon (recommended on the forum) will service the car, hope it doesn't cost the earth. Anyway, thanks to all the contributors here for the stack of background information and knowledge that helped me during the buying process. Now I just have to get on with it…MK3 1997 2.0L GL Golf | Stock

Hello Hello
Hello to All,
Been a long time viewer of the forum, and thought I'd take the plunge and become a member and start offering my own insights.
Current situation is ride-less (being a struggling uni student and all =P) but I'm hoping that will change within this year haha
Been really feeling the direction and vibe of VW and my admiration for VW began with the Mk5 Golf.
Hope to add some value to the discussions - see you all in the threads!

Hi Everyone
I'm Dan from Perth. Just ordered a silver Tiguan (125TSi) two days ago. The car should be ready by the end of the next week...can't wait.
A few great threads and contributions on this forum already helped me negotiate a good price (IMHO). So big thanks to all contributors..._______________________________________________

Hi all,
Thought I should join the club. Have owned my 06 A3 for about 2 years now, and finally starting to get my hands dirty with mods etc.
Live in Adelaide, so hoping to get out on some cruises or something, the VW/Audi following here seems fairly small.

Newbie
G'Day all.
I have been messin with dubs for years.
I have a 61'T1 Ghia, 68' t1 Bug & a pain in the arse 96'Cab Golf.
Which will lead to my next question, this thing pulls left and right like on tram lines. I have had a wheel alignment and ballance, new cv's and lower a arms.
But yet this sucker just jumps left and right, one minute the steering wheel is offset left then right?
Thanks,
Nick.
