Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hello folks ,

    First post I recently purchased a new Skoda Superb 2017 model, I felt it was time to go
    upmarket a touch to what I usually drive Namely A Camry, So far the car is a bit quirky with the stop start
    thing at the lights I must turn it off ,but apart from that all seems okay.

    Welcome to the furum.
    The stop start system has its own brain and will not always turn the engine off, for example when the battery is not sufficiently charged or the aircon is running.

      Just lift your foot on the brake far enough to start the motor but not enough for the car to move. You will get used to it.

        Yeah my new one has stop/start grrr always turning it off but resets everytime you start it
