Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Vw crafter semi auto issues

    Hi Guys,

I'm the proud owner of a 2006 VW Crafter. However, I have developed an issue! The semi-auto box has been playing up. It drops out of gear into neutral from 1st gear in auto mode. It takes forever to get back in to gear. It keeps flashin N or an F on the screen. I have now been to 2 Auto specialist plus my regular mechanic. No one knows what is wrong with it and now I actually can't even get it into gear! They connect the computer and it does read fault codes on the machine but they say the codes do not make sense. The van drives great in every gear and there is nothing wrong with the clutch. Just this issue which I am sure is an electrical one.

Can any shed any light onto this issue for me as I really need to get it dealt with ASAP.

Any help would be great or if someone can recommend a Sydney Auto specialist that knows these systems that would be awesome.

    Thank you in advance guys.

    Thanks,

    Terry
