Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Hi all,

    my names Peter, im a sparky working in the domestic and farming fields. I've bought an amarok single cab chassis core and thrown a custom built back on it. Found the forums while looking for head unit upgrades that I could do.

    Popular upgrades are RCD510, RNS510 or RNS315 if staying OEM, or a host of aftermarket alternatives, generally cheaper and lower quality.

      Thanks, I have purchased an RNS 510 DAB+ with bluetooth kit and low line camera with front and rear PDC (OPS) system. got it all (except the radio) through Carsystems. none of it came with decent instructions so its a bit of learning curve with 20 different forum tabs open on my computer to sift through for various info. am currently stuck on where to tie into the can bus for the PDC and where to run the cables out of the cab.
