Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD New Volkswagen Polo Owner - 20,000kms at $4000

    Hey Friends!

Just bought a Volkswagen Polo Match 9N 2006 about a month ago and have been loving it. I bought it for $4000, due to cosmetic damage from an accident. 20, 000kms on the clock and it's pretty much been sitting in a garage for 10 years. The panel damage was fully repaired but I had to buy a replacement left grille and new wheel covers to bring it back to eye pleasing. There's a small missing little mirror triangle and a crack in the bottom of the windscreen washer bottle, but perfect besides that. Barely driven. Happy with the find!

If anyone has any info on what to expect when owning a Polo or a Volkswagen in general I'd love to hear it! Also if there are any possible troubles to get ahead of given that it's spent so long sitting without being serviced. Any input is valued
