Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hi ppl...

Just got a VW 6N2, and I have already fallen down the rabbit hole with this, I have already spent on parts more than the car is worth, but something to keep me busy anyway

Just hope the car last at least 3 years, so far it runs very nice after some maintenance, oil change, changed some sensors, installed a thermostat that wasn't previously installed from last owner, coolant, manual transmission oil, many other things done etc etc.

I also have GTI Xenon headlights, in middle of doing a retrofit of an OEM headlight washer system (SRA) and then do auto levelling as well. Planning to also get rid of drum brakes in rear and convert to disc. I have Bilstein B14 coilovers already yet to install, got for a ridiculous cheap price on Amazon UK.

Will also paint and possibly smooth out front and rear bars... I think all of this could be dangerous, but hopefully in a good way... God help me lol.
