Hi all,
Recently it was time to trade my MK6 Golf GTI Manual (I loved that car) and I considered a 2016 GTI, 2016 WRX (given the interior update, all wheel drive and extra power), or a Focus ST. In the end, I decided to stick with the GTI - it was just nicer all round and I knew I'd love it.
I walked in to discuss a GTI trade and before I knew it, I'd made a deal for a new 2015 Golf R Manual with driver assist and a sunroof. If anyone can tell me how that happened, that would be great as I need to explain it to the wife...
Anyway it was still in their storage yard (not even at the dealership which I found strange) so I'm assuming they wanted to move the stock quickly given the 2016 model arrival has App Connect etc - hence the great deal I got.
I absolutely love the new car but in four weeks of ownership have only really 'given it a nudge' on three occasions which is a bit sad given the wet weather is on the way. Luckily a friend has bought a WRX also so I have a friend to hit the windy roads with.
I thought I'd join the forum as I have read a lot about the brand via vwwatercooled and it's always good to connect with fellow VW enthusiasts.
Cheers,
ShaunF
