Hey guys,
Just bought myself a 2007 Polo Gti in bright red, with a whopping 56,000km on the clock.
Had it inspected by MTA and got the good news - nothing wrong, just new tires needed eventually!
I've owned a few cars before, including:
'90 JDM Mazda Mx5
'98 Nissan Pulsar Gti-R
'70 VW Beetle
'69 VW Beetle
'76 VW Beetle
...and a few others not worth mentioning.
I bought the Polo for a weekend toy, as I'm fortunate enough to have a work car, so luckily I can keep the Gti for fun little blasts. As well as the Polo I've also got a 1956 Oval Window Beetle as a rolling shell, which I plan to turn into something special a little further down the track, but that'll be after many years of saving.
I plan on the obligatory APR Stage One sometime soon, and perhaps a nice set or coil-overs and some rims, but I'm just going to take my time and enjoy the car the way VW made it for a while.
