Intro
Hello community,
I'm a new owner of a 2001 beetle 1.8T.
It's the first non-practical fun car I've owned and am thoroughly enjoying diving into the VW world.
The beetle wasn't and intended purchase, just needed a station beater as a second car, but I'm planning...

2ltr 5speed from 2000 Beetle into T4
Hi All
I don't need specifics now but just a general response in regards whether a 2ltr 5sp from a 2000 beetle would go into a T4 transporter. I currently have a T4 with a high k 2ltr 5sp and the opportunity is presenting to purchase a 2000 beetle pretty cheap with a 2ltr 5sp. It is a complete...

2002 Beetle spare parts
I need to source a trunk release and the Fuel Release switches for my 2002 beetle. The previous owner butchered the door.
Other than buying new from VWA, is there a source of 2nd hand components? most wreakers I have tried were no help.
Can I use a Mk5 switch and prefab (3Dprint) an a...

When I was young and stupid
First car was a 1949 2.5 litre Riley. Lovely tourer, the mechanical back brakes were a pain and the too easy to break rear axles. I couldn't afford a new battery so had to crank it, which amused the girls.
Then a 1949 Beetle, it coughed and wheezed for awhile. Followed by a '58 Goliath...

Newbie Introduction
Hi All, I still have the first VW I purchased at the age of 15, a 59 Beetle. Since then I've also accumulated a 74 Kombi, and 85 Kombi and another 71 Beetle which is a racing Baja. To say I am a VW tragic is an understatement. To top off the fleet I recently took delivery of a 2012 Golf GTI. It has...

Still love VWs
Hi All
My first VW was a 1964 Beetle, purchased in 1967. After that I had two other air-cooled cars, a 1968 Fastback and a 1961 Beetle. Water-cooled started in 1974 with a Passat, and since then we've had a Golf and two Tiguans.
Cheers
