Hi guy's. I have a 2002 bora v5 great ride. The a/c will only blow hot air no cold at all, had in in at my mechanic checked everything; found no faults but cannot get compressor to engage. Has any one else had this problem ans what was the fix. Just adding has no one had this problem?

However, like most AC systems, there's high and low pressure switches in the pipes. Either of which would stop it engaging. Assuming there's adequate gas pressure.
Also the clutch could be gone on the compressor. Hard to imagine a mechanic that couldn't pick one of those four things with reasonable speed.
