Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Here we go

    Hi All,
Live in Newcastle NSW, just looking at plans to travel an get use out of the new car. interests are cars and computers, an what you can do with them, wife call me a gadget man, always looking for some new technology for the car or house.

My first VW is the VR6 which i have now owned for over 8 years now, it is getting old and at 438000 klms now with original engine. I run duel fuel, Petrol and Injected LPG which has been more than 200000 ks now. So if you need to know anything about a VR6 and LPG, don't hesitate to ask.

I have just purchased my second VW, Tiguan 155TSI 2011, wife loves it an always in it, loves the leather heated seats.

As the VR6 is getting old, it will have to be sold and looking at the Jetta 2.0 FSI Turbo for a replacement. looking in this forum now for Ideas to at new gadgets to the new cars.

When you work in Sydney, half price fuel is the best option, installed myself so the cost was good at the time.
Car is for sale, want to upgrade.
