  • WA Newbie MK1 1.5diesel

    Hi guys,
    just started a resto on a 1980 MK1 Golf Diesel. 5 door.
I am located in Perth and new to this.
Anybody here on this Forum knows the best place to get parts.
I am after rubber seals for door and windows and some engine bits.
Thought since i have the engine out I might replace the headgasket and also give it some new rings.

    Thanks

    der KS

engine bits arent too hard to come by, you can still get many bits new from places like tooley imports and ofcourse the internet. if you dont know 404 Not Found - you should get familiar, it will help with part numbers alot.

as for the seals - thats rocking horse **** and you probably wont find any!

One of the guys at a trade stand at the Sydney Nationals said he's importing door seals for the MK1. He had on display a few cars including the 500hp R32 that won best MK4 and he recently bought a MK1. I'll see if I can find his business card.

And welcome to the forum. Always good to see another MK1 being looked after.

      Cheers
