Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    QLD Hello there!!

    Hello,

    Me and my other personalities recently bought a neglected, very sad condition (cosmetic), mechanically mint and a very cheap MKIV Golf for ourselves. Which is my 3rd Golf.

    She's ugly now... On the outside though...
    Damaged back doors and surroundings, yes both of them...
    Paint is crying on the bumpers and stuff..

    Why I bought it? Because I love GOLF's. And I wanted to spend some of my precious time and very little remaining money on my girl to make her look gorgeous again. Also I didn't tried to fix my first beautiful MK3 and abandoned her and I feel guilty for it...

    As a start I've fixed the white plastic thingies that hold the window in the regulator assembly.
    Superglue keeps amaze me after all these times. I'm proud to say that I've managed to refit them and refitted the regulator cable assembly with a screwdriver. Man that was hard, still can't feel my finger tips..

    I'm here go get precious help, tips and advice from the experts and experienced VW owners.
