Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW Newbie - Golf R Line Tdi Wagon

    Hi all,
Had my new R Line Golf Wagon just on two weeks now.
After owning plenty of Cars, mostly Fords (Gt, G6et) and a few hot hatches (SSS, Mps) it was time to grow up.
Apart from a hiccup with a software issue with the Gearbox I am really happy so far with the choice I made.
Went with the R Line Wagon in Diesel as a compromise between; Looks, space, economy and torque.
    It's an impressive little Wagon.
Other options high on the list were the RS Wagon and Jetta 155. In the end the choice was made on overall look and finish quality. Either of the other two options would have been more inline with my previous craving for outright speed but there is something about the finish of the MkVII Golf that I couldn't ignore.
Hope is that, I get a couple of good years and become a VW repeat Customer...
